Plot : Rick Grimes is really a former Sheriff's deputy who has been around a coma for a few months after being shot during duty. When he wakes, he discovers the world is taken over by zombies, which he appears to be the only real person still alive. After returning home to discover his wife and son missing, he heads for Atlanta to look for their family. Narrowly escaping death as a result of the zombies on arrival in Atlanta, He‘s aided by another survivor Glenn who takes Rick to some camp outside the town. There Rick finds his wife Lori and son Carl, together with his partner / best friend Shane and a little number of survivors who find it difficult to fend from the zombie hordes ; along with competing along with survivor groups that are prepared to carry out whatever it will take to survive.
